– with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the interior textile industry.

Apart from being highly creative with excellent communication skills you must have experience working with UK customers and have a BA (Hons) degree in Textile Design.

Key Responsibilities

Knowledge and Experience Required
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales in the soft furnishings industry i.e. to Upholsterers, Interior Designers, Retailers etc.

An understanding, knowledge, and business relationship with the Top Customers in your area.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

UPHOLSTERY FABRIC NATIONAL SALES MANAGER

Our client – a Major International Supplier of Interior Textiles already selling in the UK is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, established, well connected and knowledgeable sales manager to help build their Upholstery Fabric sales – presenting their fabulous collections to upholstery manufacturers Nationwide. This can be a home based role with visits to their UK Head Office as required.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
• Marketing Expertise and leadership ability
• Effective Communication skills including face-to-face, telephone, email, skype etc.
• Find solutions to customer requirements, solve problems and be results orientated.
• Work independently and effectively.
• Information Technology skills necessary for use of in-house database systems
• Proven track record of furnishing fabric sales – ideally within the Upholstery Furniture market ie selling interior textiles to furniture manufacturers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsibility for sales turnovers within your market area and sales targets are met.
• Present and sell new products to existing and new customers.
• Identify prospective customers. Introduce them to the products and discuss their specific requirements and any queries they may have in relation to the products, terms, prices, delivery.
• Monitor the textile market, current and future trend forecasting.
• Plan Sales strategies, co-ordinate with Management, Marketing, Accounting, logistics and other Departments within the Company to ensure all relevant Departments are kept up-to-date on the progress of sales and developments.
• Other duties include checking stock availability, place orders, product placement, keeping accurate records.

PERSONAL QUALITIES
• Will be required to have an interest in the product and ensure you obtain thorough knowledge of the Company, an understanding of its products and Client’s requirements.
• A confident personality and capable of forming professional relationships.
• A significant amount of time will be spent travelling within the UK, meeting Clients within the Textile Industry to get them to purchase the Company’s products.

Junior Textile Designer Wanted

Junior Textile Designer Required – Hertfordshire

COMPANY: MAJOR SUPPLIER TO MAJOR BRANDS NATIONWIDE – such as Harlequin and Prestigious etc.

The name of the Company will be revealed on invite to 2nd interview.
A fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Textile Designer to join a very well-established and successful Textile Design Business in Hertfordshire. You will work as part of our Design Team and will be based in our Design Studio, Office and Showroom in Hertfordshire, with the opportunity to travel to our Mills in China and India, together with representing our Company at various Textile Trade Fairs in Europe and beyond. You will also have the opportunity to visit with our Clients in the UK and Ireland to discuss product developments.

Responsibilities
• Work closely with our Mills and our Clients to create, develop and finalize new textile collections with the top home furnishing brands in the UK and Ireland
• Market research and colour trend forecasting for the furnishing fabric sector
• Create Mood boards specific to client requirements and trends for presentation to Management and Clients
• Represent our Company on our Suppliers’ Stands at Trade Shows in Europe and beyond, Meet with our clients to discuss and interpret their requirements and give feedback to Management
• Assist with the inception of the design through to its final selection
• Visit the Mills we represent in China and India to discuss current and future developments
• Confirm Product specific requirements with the client via email and follow up on any changes/alterations to the product with both the Supplier and the Client
• Work with Critical Path on Design Development, arrange and send samples for approval and set and work towards target dates and deadlines
• Be aware that 60% of your work will be creative design and 40% will be admin / communication

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Excellent artistic and creative skills, hand drawing and CAD skills required. Proficiency in Photoshop and AVA is preferable
• Be organized and capable of meeting strict deadlines
• A strong personality and confidence to help communicate, understand, maintain and strengthen relationships with our clients and suppliers
• Communicate and work efficiently within a Team environment
• Strong administration skills along with clear and effective communication skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Be able to give and receive constructive feedback
• BA, BSC or MA Graduate – specialist in weave, print, embroidery or surface pattern
• Driven, ambitious and with a passion for textiles, trends and fashion.

START DATE AND SALARY

Textile Designer & Colour Separation Artist – Uxbridge, London *Jan 23*

• Supporting customers on site as needed.

• Completing any paperwork and administrative tasks relevant to the role.

• Ordering stocks/supplies for studio and screen making as required.

• Keep studio area clean and tidy.

• Supporting other departments as needed to ensure customer needs are met.

Job holder profile: Qualifications and experience

• Essential: relevant professional qualification, ie. BA in Design Textiles.

• Essential: knowledge and experience of computer aided design.

Essential: knowledge of screen printing

Essential: Ability and experience in colour separation.

• Essential: customer service experience.

• Preferred: experience of managing design/artwork projects and liaising with customers.

• Preferred: knowledge of AVA however training will be given if needed.
