BITA appoints a new Chairman and Vice Chairman
BITA for the past 100 years has been the voice of British Interiors & Textiles and aims to inform, support and promote all aspects of the Interiors & Textiles industry for the mutual benefit of the industry as a whole. We link our members with suppliers, customers and services including: relevant associations, affiliations and governing bodies, in the UK and beyond. BITA is dedicated to the prosperity of this exciting industry.
Recently BITA appointed a new Chairman and Vice Chairman to help with the continued important work of BITA and with 62 years experience in the industry between them – they have a lot to offer.
Chairman – Bill Fisher of Tulip Blinds
Bill Fisher has been in the industry since 2000 and is currently the director at Tulip Blinds Ltd – which was established in 2010 and has since grown to become a very reliable and quality brand. This was proven at the BITA Gala Awards Dinner in March 2017 – where the industry awarded them – not only one – but two awards, ‘Best Supplier for Customer Service’ and ‘Best Blind Supplier’. Before working in the interiors and blind industry Bill worked in professional grass machinery sales from 1979.
Earlier in his working life Bill was a farmer and although he may not be a full time farmer now he has many farm animals including horses, chickens and pedigree ‘Duro’ pigs which have won numerous awards themselves!
Bill is really enthusiastic about the Interiors industry and believes we should all work together to help each other achieve growth and success. He loves the work BITA does to bring the industry together through various means such as Social media, Events and Emarketing.
